<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for vibrating a tool, which finely finishes a cutting surface and achieves miniaturization of a device and space-saving. <P>SOLUTION: The device 10 for vibrating a tool includes: a tool rest 2 to which a tool 1 is fixed; a slidable slide 3 to which the tool rest 2 is fixed; a slide guide 4 for guiding the slide 3; a block 6 provided in the slide guide 4 to rotatably support a rotary shaft 5; a servo motor 9 fixed to the block 6 to rotate the rotary shaft 5; and an eccentric disc 7 fixed to the rotary shaft 5, in which the outer periphery thereof for vibrating the slide 3 is decentered relative to the center thereof.
