<p>The primary purpose of the present invention is to improve adhesion reliability for resin substrates and barrier films on the light receiving surfaces of solar cells. The present invention achieves this purpose by providing a solar cell having: a transparent resin substrate; a photoelectric conversion device formed on that transparent resin substrate; an inorganic layer for adhesion formed on the surface on the opposite side of the transparent resin substrate from that photoelectric conversion device; an adhesive layer disposed on the surface on the side of the transparent resin substrate having the inorganic layer for adhesion; and a barrier film having an inorganic barrier layer. The solar cell is also characterized by the surface on the side of the transparent resin substrate having the inorganic layer for adhesion being bonded with the inorganic barrier layer of the barrier film through the adhesive layer.</p>
