PURPOSE: A light emitting diode is provided to conceal a Zener diode inside of a lead frame, thereby preventing light absorption and light scattering effects due to the Zener diode. CONSTITUTION: A predetermined space is arranged inside of a lead frame(110). An LED chip(140) generates light by being mounted on the lead frame. A molding unit(150) comprises a fluorescent substance for varying the color of light emitted from the LED chip. A groove with a predetermined depth and area is arranged on the upper surface of a lead electrode(120). A Zener diode(130) protects the LED chip from an electric shock.
