<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the wasteful consumption of consumable articles such as a medium to be recorded and liquid increases due to the interruption of printing associated with the opening of a conveyance path when it is possible to open the conveyance path in a horizontal drop ejection type apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: When detecting that a conveyance belt unit 50 is opened, drop ejection from a recording head 24 is stopped, and whether or not a position of a carriage 23 when stopping the drop ejection is an ink ejection section is discriminated to discriminate whether or not deviation in a drop landing position is caused. When discriminating that the position of the carriage 23 when stopping the drop ejection is the ink ejection section, it is discriminated as a situation that deviation in the drop landing position is caused. When discriminating that the deviation in the drop landing position is not caused, a paper sensor 521 detects whether or not paper 10 exists on a conveyance belt 51 to discriminate it, and if the paper 10 exists thereon, printing is restarted from a position where the drop ejection is interrupted, when the conveyance belt unit 50 is closed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
