<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform fragmentation processing without copying a memory so as to reduce burdens on the CPU. <P>SOLUTION: The communication device includes: a memory unit 12 for storing a fragment packet that is received; a frame position recognition unit 13 for recognizing an identifier of an original frame of the received fragment packet and the position of the frame in the original frame; a transmission unit 16 for transmitting a header and a fragment packet for transmission to the opponent's communication network; a header output unit 14 that is composed of hardware circuits and outputs a header to be added to the fragment packet for transmission, to the transmission unit 16; and a DMA controller 15 for frame transmission which conducts DMA transmission of data stored in the memory unit 12 to the transmission unit 16 according to a size of the destination MTU, by referencing the result of recognition of the frame position recognition unit 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
