<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of suppressing an extreme change of an image processing intensity depending on a position and improving three-dimensional feeling in stereoscopic video. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing device of the present invention comprises: area detection means that detects matched areas and unmatched areas for every predetermined number of lines of a left-eye image and a right-eye image forming stereoscopic video; parallax detection means that detects parallax between the left-eye image and the right-eye image for each pixel in a matched area; determination means that for each pixel in a matched area, determines an image processing intensity according to the parallax detected for the pixel, and for each pixel in an unmatched area, determines an image processing intensity so that the intensity gradually changes from an image processing intensity determined for the pixel in the matched area adjacent to one end of the unmatched area to an image processing intensity determined for the pixel in the matched area adjacent to the other end; and image processing means that applies image processing to each pixel of the left-eye image and the right-eye image with an image processing intensity determined for the pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
