A diaper 1 includes front and rear waist members 20, 30 and a crotch member 40. The front and rear waist members 20, 30 are respectively formed with first narrowly-spaced elastic zones 81, widely-spaced elastic zones 82 and second narrowly-spaced elastic zones 83 so that these zones are adjacent one to another. Front and rear ends 41, 42 of the crotch member 40 are bonded to respective sides of the front and rear waist members 20, 30 facing away from the wearer's body with hot melt adhesives or the like so that the crotch member's front and rear ends 41, 42 may positionally correspond to the second narrowly-spaced elastic zones 83. Cover sheets 70 are attached to the side of the crotch member 40 facing away from the wearer's body to cover the crotch member's front and rear ends 41, 42, respectively. A length dimension of the cover sheet 70 in the longitudinal direction Y is set to be smaller than those of the front and rear waist members 20, 30 and a length dimension of the cover sheet 70 in the transverse direction X is substantially equal to those of the front and rear waist members 20, 30.
