The present invention provides a boron carbide-containing ceramic bonded body which is characterized in that: the boron carbide-containing ceramic bonded body is obtained by integrating ceramic members each containing 2% by mass or more of boron carbide with a bonding layer interposed therebetween, said bonding layer being composed of a bonding material that contains at least one metal selected from the metal group consisting of aluminum, copper, gold and zirconium, or alternatively by integrating the ceramic members with a bonding layer interposed therebetween, said bonding layer being composed of a bonding material that contains a titanium compound and aluminum metal or an aluminum compound; and the strength at the bonded portion is not less than 100 MPa. The present invention provides a technique by which boron carbide-containing ceramic members can be bonded with each other by simple processes with a high bonding strength not less than 100 MPa. The technique also enables bonding that exhibits excellent chemical resistance at the bonded portion, if necessary.
|
