PURPOSE: A thermostat housing is provided to improve the sealability of a cooling water circulation hole by only using two fastening bolts which fasten upper and lower brackets to each other. CONSTITUTION: A thermostat housing(1) comprises upper and lower brackets(2,3), gaskets, bolt fastening holes(21,31) and a cooling water circulation hole. The upper and lower brackets are screwed on one side of an engine block through fastening bolts. The gaskets are installed in the upper and lower brackets. The bolt fastening holes are formed in the upper and lower brackets. A protrusion is formed in one side of the cooling water circulation hole to widen a contact area with the engine block. |
