PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to effectively prevent the damage of an electrode assembly due to the contact of a region of a sealing part to the electrode assembly. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery(100a) comprises a structure sealed by thermosetting after mounting an electrode assembly(10) with the structure of a positive electrode/a separator/a negative electrode on a battery case(40a). In the sealing part(60a) of the outer circumference of the electrode assembly, a projection part(92) which has a structure projected to the upper part and the lower part of the sealing part is formed. The projection part is adjacent to an acceptance part(90) and consists of continuous curves and lines along the outer circumference. The width of the projection part is 30% or less on the basis of the width of the sealing part, and the height of the projection part is 105-300 % on the basis of the height of the sealing part.
