<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle guard mechanism for protecting a user and another person from the sharpened tip of a needle after drawn out of a patient. <P>SOLUTION: A clip is equipped with a first wall (16), a second wall (20), the struts (24 and 26) connecting the first and second walls and the heel (34) extending from the first wall. The first wall and the heel are arranged on mutually opposite sides with respect to the struts and, in the first state of the clip, the heel is in contact with a shelf (72) and, when the clip transfers from the first state allowing a needle shaft to pierce to a second state grasping the needle shaft therein, the heel is rotated around the shelf. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
