<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing a decrease in productivity that may occur when adopting a conveying mode where a sheet of paper is conveyed with the short side of the paper set to the forefront. <P>SOLUTION: When a binding process is performed with staples 411, as shown in (A), sheets of paper S are stacked on a paper stacker section 35 with a surface formed with an image facing downward. In the stacking, the stacking of the sheets of paper S is started from a first page P1, and the sheet of paper S of a last page is stacked lastly. On the other hand, when a binding process is performed by a binding device 500, the front/rear of the sheet of paper S is reversed and, as shown in (C), the sheets of paper S are stacked with the surface formed with the image facing upward. When the binding process is performed by the binding device 500, the stacking of the sheets of paper S is started from the last page and the sheet of paper S of the first page P1 is stacked lastly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
