PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time needed to remove a sulfate coating while suppressing heat generation during sulfate coating removal.
SOLUTION: A sulfate coating removal device 10 drives a switching circuit 140 using a pulse waveform driving signal of 1.6 μsec in pulse width and 20,000 Hz in frequency. When the switching circuit 140 turns on, a current of 500 mA is taken out of a battery through a resistance R1, and when the switching circuit 140 turns off, the current is stopped from being taken out. When the switching circuit 140 turns off, counterelectromotive force and a reverse current of 500 mA are supplied to the battery. The supplied reverse current is a negative spike current, and this current operates on an electrode of the battery to remove a sulfate coating deposited on the electrode of the battery. Further, a temperature rise of the sulfate coating removal device 10 in operation is also suppressed.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
