<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component capable of achieving a low profile. <P>SOLUTION: A main body 12 of an electronic component is formed into a plate having main surfaces S1 and S2. External electrodes 14a to 14d are provided on the main surface S2. A main line ML is provided on the main surface S2 and composed of a line conductor connecting the external electrodes 14a and 14b. A sub line SL is provided on the main surface S2 and composed of a line conductor connecting the external electrodes 14c and 14d.
