PURPOSE:To prevent the disturbance of a picture which is caused when positions of adjacent horizontal synchronizing signals do not satisfy a prescribed condition, by delaying the reproduced video signal in a delay means to output the delayed reproduced video signal or the reproduced video signal on a basis of the vertical synchronizing signal in case of the fast forward mode. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic recording and reproducing device consists of a delay circuit 10, a switching detecting circuit 20, and a video switch circuit 30, and the reproduced video signal from an input terminal 41 is inputted to a modulator 11 of the circuit 10 and the circuit 30. When the condition to make recording positions of horizontal synchronizing signals adjacent to each other between video horizontal synchronizing signals adjacent to each other between video tracks in not satisfied, the delay of a glass delay line 12 is set to the double period of the horizontal synchronizing signal in the modulator 11 by the signal of an oscillator 13. The delayed video signal from a demodulator 14 is applied to the circuit 30, and the output signal is switched to the reproduced video signal or the delayed video signal in accordance with the switching detection signal from the circuit 20, thus preventing the disturbance of a picture in the fast forward mode. |
