CONNECTOR FOR ELECTRICAL CABLES

The invention provides a connector for electrical cables comprising: - a tubular housing of electrically insulating material comprising inner spaces configured to receive electrical contacts in fixed relative positions; - a plurality of electrical contacts positioned in the housing and configured to be connected to a conductor of an electrical cable; and - the housing further comprising a base and a cover, each of electrically insulating material, wherein base and cover comprise corresponding fixing means for fixing them at each other in a closed position of the housing. The invention also provides a terminated cable assembly with a connector as described above and a cable electrically connected to the connector. The invention further provides an electrical connector assembly comprising a connector as described above as well as a carrier for the connector.
