An oil-in-water emulsion composition containing a poorly-soluble drug: has a solubility in water of less than 1 mg/mL; contains a poorly soluble drug with a molecular weight of at least 500, an oil constituent in an amount of more than 6 mass % but not more than 25 mass % with respect to the mass of the entire composition, and containing medium-chain triglycerides in an amount of more than 80 mass % but not more than 100 mass %, and a surfactant constituent containing phospholipids in an amount of not less than 50 mass % and not more than 100 mass %; and which has emulsified particles with an average particle diameter of less than 500 nm.
