The method involves compressing a part (45) of circular nitrogen flow (44) in a circuit compressor (22) at intermediate pressure. Intermediate pressure-circular nitrogen flow (46) formed by decompression of a part of high pressure-circular nitrogen flow is partially liquefied in an intermediate evaporator (10) of a pressure column (8) in indirect heat exchange with intermediate fluid of the pressure column. The partially liquefied intermediate pressure-circular nitrogen flow is reverted into a distillation column-system for nitrogen-oxygen separation. An independent claim is also included for a device for obtaining compressed oxygen and compressed nitrogen by low temperature degradation of air in a distillation column-system for nitrogen-oxygen separation.
