<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain airbag device capable of suppressing an ejection amount of an occupant to the minimum in spite of a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The curtain airbag device includes an airbag 12 deployed by an inflation gas and a strap 15 which connects the front edge portion of the airbag to an A pillar of the vehicle. A height of a strap front end portion 20 connected to the A pillar 11 is set to the same as that of a primary target point A1 of a foremost portion based on the notice of proposed rule-making (NPRM) of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS 226) legislated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and a height of a strap rear end portion 22 connected to the airbag is set to be lower than that of the primary target point A1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
