PURPOSE:To always obtain a copied image having a good quality, by irradiating uniform light toward a photosensitive body in addition to image exposure, and varying the quantity of irradiation of the uniform light in accordance with the extent of adjustment of an image adjusting means, in an image reproducing method corresponding to an original image. CONSTITUTION:On a photosensitive body 1, a primary charger 2, a secondary destaticizer 3, a whole surface exposure lamp 8 and a developing device 9 are placed. An original 5 is placed on an original placing glass plate 4, under which an original illuminating lamp 6 and a uniform irradiation light source 10 are placed. Original illuminating light 6 and uniform irradiating light 10 are controlled by an adjusting volume 12 and an adjusting volume 14, respectively. Its illuminating light passes through a diffusion plate 11 and an exposure lens 7, and illuminates the photosensitive body 1 from the opening part of the secondary destaticizer 3. The adjusting volumes 12, 14 are interlocked, make the quantity of exposure constant (2-a) from the time point of an adjusting dial scale 5 as shown in the graph, and varies (2-b) the quantity of irradiation of uniform light added to picture exposure, by a bias light source 14, by which a copied image having a good quality is always obtained. |
