<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for analyzing and visualizing the characteristics of local features of image data. <P>SOLUTION: The system and method for analyzing and visualizing the local clinical features includes identification (34) of a first region of interest (ROI) from a medical image dataset (32) acquired from a patient and extraction (36) of a feature dataset representing a feature of interest specific to the ROI. The system also includes identification (38) of a second ROI from the medical image dataset, extraction (40) of a reference dataset comprising reference data representing an expected behavior of the feature of interest, comparison (44) of the feature dataset to the reference dataset, generation (44) of a deviation metric representing a deviation of the feature of interest based on the comparison, and creation (46) of a visual representation of the deviation metric. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
