IMAGE REGISTRATION METHOD

Disclosed is an image registration method. The method comprises: selecting a source registration image {pi} and a target registration image {qj}; applying random perturbation to the image {pi} according to a preset random perturbation control parameter s to morph the image, obtaining {pi'}, obtaining on {qj} a point set {qj'} corresponding to the closest points on {pi'}; performing iteration operation on {Pi'} and {qj'} according to a preset initial coordinate transformation H0 and obtaining a coordinate transformation {H1} between {pi'} and {qj'}, 0 1} according to the coordinate transformation {H1}; determining the value of the average distance {E1} and a preset ideal average distance Ex, and terminating the registration if the average distance {E1} is smaller than or equal to the preset ideal average distance. The method enables the registration of the source image and the target image having a large initial offset without manually adjusting parameters, removes the restrictions of local limits and increases registration precision and success rate.
