<p>This invention relates to electronic transactions, and more particularly, but not exclusively, to a method of authorising a transaction, including the steps of receiving information stored on a card relating to a purchaser and information relating to a transaction from a point of sale located at a first geographical location; receiving an authorisation code for the transaction from a purchaser using a remote device located at a second geographical location; receiving the second geographical location using information obtained from a wireless telephony network used by the remote device; comparing the geographical locations of the point of sale and the remote device; and generating an alert.</p> |
