<p>An ultrasonic motor is equipped with a laminated piezoelectric element (40), rotation-restricting members (42a1, 42a2), a rotor mechanism (10), a pressing mechanism (20), rotation-restricting frames (31a1, 31a2) and grooves (32a1, 32a2). The laminated piezoelectric element (40) is excited so as to oscillate elliptically by simultaneous excitement of axial and twisting oscillations. The rotation-restricting members (42a1, 42a2) are integrally fixed near the joint position of the twisting oscillations of the laminated piezoelectric element (40). A rotor mechanism (10) contacts the surface of the laminated piezoelectric element (40) excited with elliptical oscillations, and rotatably drives using the elliptical oscillations as a source for driving power. The pressing mechanism (20) presses the surface of the laminated piezoelectric element (40) excited with elliptical oscillations to the rotor mechanism (10). The rotation-restricting frames (31a1, 31a2) hold the laminated piezoelectric element (40). The grooves (32a1, 32a2) are provided in the rotation-restricting frames (31a1, 31a2), and by engaging with the rotation-restricting members (42a1, 42a2), restrict the rotation of the laminated piezoelectric element (40) within a plane perpendicular to the direction of pressing by the pressing mechanism (20).</p> |
