<p>Electronic mail such as reminder mail is transmitted at a timing which enables the solicitation of bids for offers to purchase products in an auction. The electronic mail notifies the offer deadline for a transaction having an offer deadline set for product purchase. An electronic mail transmitter transmits the electronic mail also containing link information to a web page which publishes information about the transaction product, receives access information to the web page displaying the link information contained in the electronic mail from a terminal, receives offer information about the purchase of a product for which information is published on the web page from the terminal, determines whether or not the offer information was received by the offer deadline, compares a first time with the access time to the web page, and if it is determined that the offer information was not received by the offer deadline and the access time is later than the first time, sets the relative transmission time of the electronic mail to be transmitted next earlier than the relative transmission time of the electronic mail previously transmitted.</p> |
