<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a set up method for a knitted fabric which can prevent a set up part of the knitted fabric from being stretched and loosening when knitting the set up part of the knitted fabric. <P>SOLUTION: Stitches of a draw thread 20 continuous in a wale direction which is a final course of an existing knitted fabric engaged with a needle bed of a flat-knitting machine are knitted (T1). Cross stitches are formed on a plurality of empty needles with which the stitches of the draw thread 20 are not engaged, whereby a set up part 30 of the knitted fabric is knitted (T2). The stitches of the draw thread 20 and the cross stitches of the set up part 30 overlap each other (T3). Then, stitch rows continuous in the wale direction of the set up part 30 are knitted by a front sack knitting and a back sack knitting (T4 and T5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
