<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of objectively evaluating the degree of sliminess of a cosmetic with high reproducibility. <P>SOLUTION: A method for evaluating sliminess of a cosmetic evaluates the degree of sliminess of the cosmetic applied to a skin on the basis of a loss tangent tanδ value of the cosmetic. Preferably, the degree of sliminess of the cosmetic applied to a skin is evaluated on the basis of the loss tangent tanδ value at an angular frequency of 0.01 to 10 s<SP POS="POST">-1</SP>. The degree of sliminess is evaluated to be lower when the tanδ value is smaller, and is evaluated to be higher when the tanδ value is larger.
