<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to improve gloss uniformity by using one kind of colorless ink when glossiness (refraction index and surface shape) of colored ink of a plurality of colors including pigment color material is not uniform. <P>SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus including plural kinds of colorless ink having different refraction indexes from each other comprises: a dot arrangement patterning processing part 609 setting colored dot arrangement of each color of colored ink data; and a colorless dot arrangement part 608 setting colorless dot arrangement of one colorless ink by referring a colorless dot arrangement table 6011 according to the colored ink data. Then, a color image is formed on a recording medium according to the colored dot arrangement and the colorless dot arrangement. In the colorless dot arrangement table, it is set so that when specular glossiness calculated according to the colored dot arrangement is high, the colorless ink having low refraction index overlaps with the colored ink having high refraction index. Conversely, when the specular glossiness is low, the colorless dot arrangement is set so that the colorless ink having high refraction index overlaps with the colored ink having low refraction index or an exposed part of the recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
