<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable coated with an outer cover having a 2-layer structure, which is capable of decreasing power required for tearing the outer cover without each notch position corresponding at high accuracy when each of an inner layer and an outer layer is provided with a notch, and which allows for good workability of cable-laying construction. <P>SOLUTION: An outer cover 3 comprises an inner layer 3a coating a coated optical fiber 1 and an outer layer 3b coating this inner layer 3a. On both side face parts of the outer layer 3b, a pair of outer layer notches, 6b and 6b, are formed in a groove shape and in parallel to the coated optical fiber 1. On the inner layer 3a, inner layer notches 6a and 6a each of which is composed of a plurality of small notches are formed on the positions corresponding to each of the outer layer notches 6b and 6b of the outer layer 3b and lying at both sides of the coated optical fiber 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
