<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of being a thin type while achieving a large display board. <P>SOLUTION: A display device includes: a display board 1 of a rectangular plate shape; a light guide plate of a rectangular plate shape disposed at the rear face side of the display board 1; four light source units 3a to 3d having light sources 2 using LED chips and disposed to face each of four edge faces of the light guide plate; a lighting device 4 that lights the four light source units 3a to 3d; a connection line 6 that connects the four light source units 3a to 3d with the lighting device 4; and a frame 7 of a rectangular frame shape to which the display board 1, the light guide plate and the each light source unit 3a to 3d can be mounted.
