<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve that can prevent the generation of noise resulting from an abrupt increase of a refrigerant flow rate at starting without generating a pressure loss of a high pressure refrigerant flowing toward an orifice from a valve chamber. <P>SOLUTION: A valve body 10 of the expansion valve has a valve chamber 40 communicating with an inlet passage 20 of a refrigerant, and a valve body 50 is arranged in the valve chamber 40. The valve body 50 is operated by a power element 70. A movable orifice member 100 opposing the valve body 50 is slidably inserted into an insertion hole 41, and biased by a spring 140 toward the valve body 50. When a pressure difference is generated between the valve chamber 40 and an outlet passage 22 of the refrigerant, the movable orifice member 100 moves in a direction in which the member is separated from the valve body 50, and the refrigerant passes through the movable orifice member 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
