PURPOSE:To simplify manufacturing and assembling processes of the title suspension, and to lighten the weight of a car body, by supporting suspension arms in a rear suspension by the transmission of a front engine car. CONSTITUTION:The upper ends of a struts 17a and 17b to support rear wheels 8a and 8b in a rear suspension of strut type are pivotably supported by a car body, while the lower ends are pivotably supported by lower arms 18a and 18b. on the other hand, the inside ends of lower arms 18a and 18b are supported pivotably and longitudinally movably, by lower arms supporting members 19a and 19b which are fixed to the side of a casing of transmission 3, and lower arms supporting members 20a and 20b which are fixed to the lower part of a mounting member 10. Such a construction makes a subframe needless, at the same time, manufacturing and assembling processes can be simplified, and the weight of a car body can be lightened, as well. |
