<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method of cooling a data center that controls a blowout amount of cooled air from an air conditioner to operate a server with saved power safely. <P>SOLUTION: A cooling system cools an electronic device housed in a rack in a room where an air conditioner that cools the air sucked from an inlet to blow out the cooled air from an outlet and the rack having an inlet to suck in the cooled air and an exhaust port to discharge the sucked air are disposed. The cooling system includes a control unit that acquires a temperature from a temperature measuring instrument that measures at least one of the temperatures at the inlet and the exhaust port of the rack and the outlet and the inlet of the air conditioner, calculates an index concerning a wraparound amount of the exhaust and cooled air based on the temperature acquired from the temperature measuring instrument, and controls the blowout amount of the cooled air of the air conditioner based on the calculated result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
