<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chronic inflammatory disease therapeutic agent which is also effective for type II diabetes. <P>SOLUTION: The chronic inflammatory disease therapeutic agent includes a compound expressed by formula (I) [wherein, either Ar<SP POS="POST">1</SP>or Ar<SP POS="POST">2</SP>denotes an aromatic group at least having a nitro group as a substituent; R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>denotes H atom or an alkyl group; R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>denotes H, an alkyl group or an aromatic group or -CONH- and is bonded to the 2-position of the Ar<SP POS="POST">2</SP>; and R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>jointly may denote a group shown by following formula:-C(R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>)(R<SP POS="POST">4</SP>)-C(R<SP POS="POST">5</SP>)(R<SP POS="POST">6</SP>)-] or its salt (excluding a compound wherein Ar<SP POS="POST">1</SP>denotes a 2-nitrophenyl group; Ar<SP POS="POST">2</SP>denotes a 3-cyclopentyloxy-4-methoxyphenyl group; R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>denotes H; and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>denotes H and a compound wherein Ar<SP POS="POST">1</SP>is a 2, 4-dinitrophenyl group; Ar<SP POS="POST">2</SP>denotes a 3, 4, 5-trimethoxyphenyl group; R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>denotes H; and Rr<SP POS="POST">2</SP>denotes a 6-methoxy-2-(1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-yl)benzo[b]furan-3-yl group). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
