<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic apparatus which appropriately displays highly effective map images with simple operation, and to provide a method for using the portable electronic apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A portable electronic apparatus includes: a housing; an image capturing part obtaining a map image by capturing an image; a processing part obtaining information of a specific image corresponding to the map image based on the information contained in the map image; and an image projection part provided at the housing and projecting the specific image in a projection area.
