<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device using a worm gear as a reduction gear in which occurrence of abnormal noise is prevented while keeping appearance quality or strength in the vicinity of a tooth surface of a worm wheel. <P>SOLUTION: In the electric power steering device, the rotation of an electric actuator for generating steering auxiliary power is transmitted to wheels via a reduction gear mechanism having a metal made worm and a worm wheel engaged with the worm. A worm wheel molding engaged with the worm has a first molded part PB1 where the tooth part of the worm wheel 10 is foam-molded with a first synthetic resin material having foaming property and a second molded part PS1 which is integrally molded with the first molded part PB1 with the first synthetic resin material having no foaming property. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
