<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and inexpensive manufacturing method of an optical element including a high polymer photonic crystal which has a concentric microphase separation structure with a precisely controlled orientation. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of an optical element according to the invention comprises: an orientation imparting step in which, in a state that a polymer solution containing a high polymer block copolymer, a photopolymerization initiator, and photopolymerizable monomer, which is soluble with the high polymer block copolymer and photopolymerization initiator, is sandwiched between a principal plane 10a of a plate member 10 and a principal plane 20a of a plate member 20 facing to each other, each of the plate member 10 and the plate member 20 is rotated in a direction opposite to each other on a rotational axis A2 perpendicular to the principal plane 10a and the principal plane 20a; and a photopolymerization step in which, after the orientation imparting step, the photopolymerizable monomer is polymerized by irradiating the polymer solution with light, to obtain high polymer photonic crystal in which the microphase separation structure of the high polymer block copolymer is concentrically oriented around the rotational axis A2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
