<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability and adequacy of a calculated value of a cruising range in a cruising range calculation device. <P>SOLUTION: The cruising range calculation device includes: a remaining capacity calculator 3a calculating the remaining capacity of electric power stored in a travel battery mounted on a vehicle; and a first calculator 1c calculating a travel distance per unit capacity of the travel battery as an electric cost on the basis of a power consumption in the travel battery and the travel distance of the vehicle. The cruising range calculation device further includes: a second calculator 1d calculating a suppression electric cost in which variation of the electric cost calculated by the first calculator 1c is suppressed, on the basis of the remaining capacity calculated by the remaining capacity calculator 3a; and a third calculator 1g calculating a cruising range that is an estimation value of the distance in which the vehicle travels by the remaining electric power on the basis of the remaining capacity of the electric power calculated by the remaining capacity calculator 3a and the suppression electric cost calculated by the second calculator 1d. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
