<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency converter that can reduce disturbing wave caused by the harmonics of local signal. <P>SOLUTION: A frequency converter includes a duty adjustment part for generating a 1/N local signal that is a local signal having the duty ratio of 1/N if N is an integer of 3 or more and a N-th order high frequency component included in the local signal is targeted for suppression.
