<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately predict information about fuel consumption going along with future travels. <P>SOLUTION: A connection cable 22 is connected to an ODB2 terminals of a vehicle, a control unit 18 acquires information for periodically obtaining instantaneous fuel consumption from the vehicle and information about residual fuel, obtains correct fuel consumption from the consumption amount of fuel obtained from the residual fuel and a travel distance at that time, obtains a correction coefficient, and corrects the instantaneous fuel consumption from then on. The control unit recognizes whether a road the vehicle is travelling on is an expressway or an ordinary road on the basis of position information acquired from a GPS receiver 8, obtains average of the corrected instantaneous fuel consumption for each kind of roads, and records it.
