PURPOSE: A method for reducing return sinter fines is provided to improve the recovery rate of sinter ore without reduction of productivity because a roller is installed after a burner. CONSTITUTION: A method for reducing return sinter fines comprises a step of charging a mixed sintering material into a sintering machine(10) through a charging hopper(11) and a step of igniting a burner(15) of the sintering machine and compressing the superficial portion of the sintering material using a roller(19) installed after the burner, wherein delamination or crack in the superficial portion of the sintering material is prevented by the suction air of a blower(17).
