<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To intend to make the best use of a kudzu root extract after purification of kudzu starch which has been discarded, and to provide an inexpensive and effective cosmetic material. <P>SOLUTION: It has been found that the kudzu root extract after purification of kudzu starch which has been discarded exhibits stronger skin whitening action and anti-oxidant action than the existing kudzu root extract and abundantly contains 6-geranyl-coumestrol therein. The 6-geranyl-coumestrol suggests strong skin whitening action, anti-oxidant action, and anti-inflammation and the use of the kudzu root extract after purification of kudzu starch can provide a new cosmetic having excellent skin whitening action, anti-oxidant action, and anti-inflammation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
