PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for determining user's intention based on a user's speech.

SOLUTION: The information processing device includes: a pre-score adjusting section that calculates a pre-score based on a piece of context information obtained as observation information for each intention model corresponding to each of plural pieces of intention information which are previously registered; a multi-matching section that determines a word group fittest to an input voice based on user's speech and calculates sound scores and language scores given to the word group for each of the intention models; and an intention determination section that compares the pre-score of each intention model with a total score which is calculated from the sound score and the language score to determine a piece of intention information corresponding to an intention model which obtains a highest total score as an intention corresponding to the user's speech. User's intention corresponding to the user's speech is determined by comparing scores of the intention models.
