<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quickly and easily moving an existing electric cable having a large diameter without damaging the cable. <P>SOLUTION: A method for moving an existing electric cable having a large diameter, comprises: measuring a real length including slack of an electric cable D from a steel tower T2 or T3 to a supporting point of a new steel tower Tn; marking the measured length on the electric cable D; detaching a strain clamp connected to one end of the electric cable D from an insulator string of the steel tower T2 or T3; hooking the strain clamp to a center part of a laterally long horizontal yoke; while feeding wire assembled by a semi-sheave, arranged between the both side-ends of the horizontal yoke and the insulator string to introduce the electric cable D into space between the steel tower T2 and T3, moving the electric cable D to the new steel tower Tn; cutting the electric cable D at the marked position on a foothold arranged at the new steel tower Tn; attaching a strain clamp to the cut end to compress the clamp by a compressor; attaching the strain clamp to the insulator strain installed at the new steel tower Tn; drawing the wire assembled by the semi-sheave from the steel tower T2 or T3 to tighten the electric cable D; and attaching the strain clamp to the insulator string of the steel tower T2 or T3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
