<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make charging time for an electric car to be effectively utilized by a charging device 1 having a function for charging the electric car. <P>SOLUTION: A charging device 1 communicably connected with a seller side device (a device of a shop 2) which is a device executing seller side processing related to article purchase by a user of an electric car comprises: charging processing execution means 14 having a function for executing processing related to charging the electric car; and article purchase processing execution means 14 having a function for executing charging device side processing related to the article purchase by the user of the electric car.
