摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor driving device capable of surely reducing a deceleration time within a variable speed operation range in a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The motor driving device comprises: an AC motor 2 that drives a machine with square torque characteristics; a converter 1 that feeds AC to the AC motor 2; and control means 3 for supplying an on/off pulse to a switching element gate of the converter 1. When a speed command is a deceleration command from a first operation speed to a second operation speed, the control means 3 comprises: speed reference rate means 4 for converting the speed command to a new speed command having a predetermined deceleration rate; deceleration rate calculation means 5 for calculating the deceleration rate; and main control means 6 for controlling the speed of the AC motor 2 so as to follow a new speed command and outputting the on/off pulse. The deceleration rate calculation means 5 calculates the deceleration rate so that the inclination of a tangent at a point where the deceleration curve when the AC motor 2 is decelerated in a free run state intersects with the second operation speed becomes the deceleration rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
