<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion concentration measurement apparatus in which structure and a manufacturing method of an ion-selective electrode are simplified in the ion concentration measurement apparatus which measures positive ions, especially, sodium ions and potassium ions, in a biogenic substance. <P>SOLUTION: A crown ether derivative 109 which is a ligand for capturing the positive ions in which insulative molecules (for example, alkane thiol) forming a self-assembled film are coupled to a linker and alkane thiol 110 having a carbon chain longer than that of the linker are made to coexist and fixed on the surface of a gold electrode 111, and electromotive force to be generated in accordance with coordination of the positive ions is measured by a potential difference measurement apparatus 104 as an interface potential change on the surface of the gold electrode. Furthermore, an insulation gate field effect transistor formed on the same substrate as that of the gold electrode is used as a potential difference measurement apparatus. In addition, a straight-chain polymer is physically adsorbed on the gold electrode to be used in order to reduce an influence by adsorption of a contaminant to the surface of the electrode in measurement of the biogenic substance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
