[Problem] To provide a button which makes the engaging and release of male and female members smooth and accurate, can engage the male and female members even if inclined to a certain degree, and wherein the number of parts can be reduced. [Solution] The button is formed from a female and a male member (F, M), which can engage with one another. The female member (F) is formed from a cap (1), a frame body (3), a central core (4), a spring (41), a steel ball (42), and material fixing sections (5, 6). The male member (M) is formed from a bulbous terminal (7) and material fixing sections (8, 9). The cap (1) and the central core (4) are caulked by means of a rivet (2), and it is preferable that a decoration is featured on the surface of the cap (1).
