The valve has a space (2) to partially store to-be-injected medium (3) flowing around a valve closing element (4), and another space (5) to accommodate an actuator arrangement (6), where the spaces are disconnected from each other in a fluid tight manner. The actuator arrangement has an eddy current actuator (7), which cooperates with a disc-shaped piston (8) for generating a shock/pressure wave (9) passing in the medium toward a valve seat (10) during inwardly opening the valve closing element against the traveling direction of the wave and releasing an injection port (11).
