The invention discloses a single projection WIDE-SCREEN PROJECTION device and method. The device includes an image processing system and set in turn along the light path are an optical non-imaging system which provides light source, an optical imaging system, a light path switching system, a projection lens which enlarges and projects the image to the screen. The image processing system connects with the optical imaging system and the light path switching system respectively and divides an image into N frames of small pictures and outputs the rotating angle signals at the same time, wherein N is the natural number which is great than 1. The optical imaging system is used to receive the N frames of small pictures and the light of the optical non-imaging system. The light path switching system includes a reflecting lens and a rotary motor. The rotary motor is used to receive the rotating angle signals to control the rotating angle of the reflecting lens. The present invention enables wide-screen projection through the single projection technology, and ensures higher picture displaying ratio than that in the prior art, thereby substantially enabling projection in large screen and wide view range.
